Mexican drug smugglers are pushing a cheap and deadly form of heroin in the United States.

Black tar heroin is as much as 90% pure-- and it's claiming the lives of some users.


In an address before congress Mexico's president asked lawmakers to reinstate a ban on assault weapons to help stop the flow of illegal guns to drug cartels. Street gangs operating on both sides of the border play a pivotal role for warring drug cartels, and the trigger-men are often teenagers.
