Gregarious and outgoing, Jasmine is the type of dog who will walk into a room, eagerly greet everyone and charm them into becoming friends with her in just minutes flat. It wasn’t a flaw in her personality but instead her size that caused her to become a homeless pet at the Arizona Humane Society, and when her family moved into a small apartment they discovered there wouldn’t be enough room for this American Fox hound and German shepherd mix.
Jasmine is a comical 8-year-old who keeps life interesting by being a clever and witty dog. She is housetrained and knows all of the basic commands but her true talent is revealed when a dog lover puts their arms out and asks for a hug; in which case Jasmine gladly embraces the opportunity to leap into their arms and share sloppy kisses. Jasmine is so intelligent that she will even bring her food dish to her owner when she is ready for dinner.
Jasmine is still very active and she loves going for long walks and playing in a large yard. She enjoys annihilating stuffed toys that squeak and would appreciate having a “toy box” in the living room of her new home that is filled to the brim with fun and interesting toys. When exhaustion finally sets in, she likes to curl up on the couch, on her dog bed or at her owner’s feet for a quiet and peaceful nap.
Jasmine is a bit skeptical of other dogs and a dog meet and greet is required.
She is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is just $35 since she is a Prime Time dog. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam.
