Suspects snatch purse and use victim's stolen credit cardsPosted: Updated:
GILBERT – Police in Glendale are asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects linked to a purse-snatching robbery.
Police say the 28-year-old victim was sitting in the outside patio of a restaurant with her purse on her lap in the San Tan Village Mall on April 18 just before 7 p.m.
The suspect vehicle reportedly drove by slowly next to the victim with an unidentified female driver. A male suspect jumped out, ran to the victim and forcefully pulled the purse from the victim before jumping back into the car through the passenger window.
Police say the driver never stopped the car during the robbery.
During the hours following the robbery the victim’s credit cards were reportedly used at local casinos and business in the area of 43rd Avenue and Cactus in Phoenix.
The first suspect is described as a white skinny male in his mid-20s about 5’11 tall with short dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. The second suspects was a white female with dark hair seen wearing a flowered dress in surveillance photos. She was possibly the driver of the suspect vehicle. The third suspect is also a white female with blonde hair seen wearing a black dress in surveillance photos. She may have been a third person in the vehicle, described as a gold Saturn passenger sedan.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Gilbert police at (480) 503-6500 or (480) WITNESS.
