Tucson churches voice reaction to recent firesPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Members of a Tucson-area church, torched by an arsonist, say they are grateful that no one has been injured in any recent church fires.
Flowing Wells Baptist Church Pastor Keith Huffman said the fires have not stopped the congregation and attendance at the church has actually increased.
An arsonist started a fire at the front door of the church on April 9.
Members said they have been checking up on their church nightly since the fire.
Two other churches, Northwest Community Friends Church and Alliance Church, were also hit by an arsonist.
All three fires originated outside the front entrances and happened early in the morning.
