Construction got underway Monday on some new bike lanes on the east side. Crews will install the lanes along 22nd Street from Camino Seco east to Harrison. The road will be expanded on both sides by a few feet to make room for the bike lanes.
And another construction project got underway Monday. This one on the far northwest side. It's using a special form of asphalt that cuts down on road noise for people living in the area.
Gas prices in Tucson down a fraction from last week, two-tenths of a cent. Drivers here shell out $2.79 on average for a gallon of regular unleaded.
Meanwhile statewide the price held pretty steady at $2.91 per gallon, and the national number jumped two cents to $2.93.
