Owner of limo company made promise to 3 On Your Side - Did he deliver?

Posted: Updated:

A limo company promised 3 On Your Side last month that they would pay to repair a car that one of their limos hit. It sounded good, but after the report aired, the victims say it was difficult getting the limo owner to actually come up with the check. So, we went to his house recently to find out why.

3 On Your Side wanted to speak with Enrico Montegrosso. Montegrosso owns a company called Luxor Limousine and last month the limousine company was profiled in a 3 On Your Side report because one of their limos hit another car driven Brian and Amanda Ogilvie.

"My husband was laying on the horn and he didn't stop and ended up hitting our bumper and took part of it with him," Amanda said.

Now, although the police report clearly shows the limo driver was cited for the collision, the Ogilvies told us that Montegrosso and his company wouldn’t pay to repair their damaged vehicle.

However, after 3 On Your Side got involved, Montegrosso agreed to pay for the vehicle to get fixed, and at the time, we considered the matter resolved.

The good news is the Ogilvies took their car to a body shop. However, after it was fixed, the body shop called wanting to be paid and the call couldn't have come at a worse time because Amanda was about to give birth.

"I went into labor and I was walking around the hospital and we got a call that the car was done and that they couldn't get a hold of Enrico," she said.

But, what about that promise Montegrosso made to pay for the repairs?

Well, that's why 3 On Your Side went to his home, to try and find out what was going on and although no one ever came to the door, 3 On Your Side's visit apparently helped out because the Ogilvies got another call from the body shop.

"He [Enrico] called me back and he was really nice and I was like, 'Yeah, not shocking, they told me they [3 On Your Side] went to his house,' and she was like, 'Oh, that would explain it,'" Brian said.

With their car now back in good condition the Ogilvies say it's one less thing to worry about, and say they owe it to 3 On Your Side.

"It's been a big help and we would probably still be waiting on our car so thank you, 3 On Your Side," Amanda said.

"Thank you News Channel 3 and 3 On Your Side for helping us in our situation," Brian said.

The Ogilvies are very happy because their repairs are finally paid for.

As for Montegrosso, a promise is a promise, and in the end, he finally did live up to his word.
