Pinal Co. sheriff's deputy, teen injured in head-on collision near CoolidgePosted: Updated:
COOLIDGE -- A Pinal County sheriff's deputy was injured in a head-on collision near Coolidge Wednesday afternoon.
According to Lt. Tami Villar with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, the deputy's car and a vehicle driven by a teenager collided at Valley Farms Road near Coolidge. The details of the collision have not been released.
The deputy had to be extricated from his patrol car. Villar said he was alert and conscious.
Both victims, whose names have not been released, were flown to Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
