FLAGSTAFF -- Flagstaff police officers are searching for evidence after a man walked into a bar and collapsed from a stab wound.

According to Flagstaff police Lt. Ken Koch, a Native American male walked into the Museum Club alone and collapsed early Tuesday afternoon. Employees tried to help and discovered that he had been stabbed.

Medics transported the victim to the Flagstaff Medical Center. He underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.

The victim has been identified as Llewellyn H. Blackhair, 34, of Cameron, Ariz.

Koch said Blackhair was not able to provide details of the assault, but there are indications it may have occurred several hours prior to his entering the club.

Investigators are searching the area for any evidence and to identify the location of the stabbing.

Police have not identified a suspect, but Koch said they are following up on several leads. A motive for the stabbing has not been released.

Anyone with information concerning this assault or any disturbance they might think is related to this investigation is asked to contact the Flagstaff Police Department at 928-774-1414 or Silent Witness.
