Gang-related shooting leaves 3 injured; Search on for gunman

PHOENIX - Police are combing the streets of south Phoenix searching for a gunman that sent a car careening off the road.

3TV has learned at least one person was hit as bullets flew in the area of Roeser and 16th Street in downtown Phoenix.

According to police, there was a car chase involving a black car and a white car. While driving east down Roeser someone supposedly in the black car opened fire.

The driver of the white car was hit twice, once in the chest and once in the arm. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a stop sign.

There were three people in the white car ages 18, 19 and 20 year old. One of the passengers in that white car was reportedly injured in the crash.

All three of the young me jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a neighborhood to hide from their shooter.

The black car drove off after the shooting. Police say this is gang-related and that the three victims are supposedly known local gang members.

Police are now looking for the shooter's car, which officers say is possibly a black pick-up or SUV.
