Mid-70s Wednesday and Thursday and low 80s by weekend

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- It's going to be mostly sunny and warm -- 91 degrees -- today, but tomorrow is a completely different story.

We're going to top out in the mid 70s. That's a drop of nearly 20 degrees in just one day.

Those cooler temperatures will stick with us through the weekend -- 74 on Friday, 79 on Saturday and 82 on Sunday. Our average for this time of year is 88.

The winds are going to be kicking up today.

Strong, gusty winds led the National Weather Service to issue a red flag warning for southeastern Arizona below 7,000 feet Wednesday.

The warning covers Greenlee, Graham, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Pima and southeast Pinal Counties.

A fire weather watch remains in effect from late Thursday morning through early Thursday evening for Graham and Cochise Counties because of strong, gusty winds and low humidity.
