San Francisco boycotting ArizonaPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX and SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco is looking to punish Arizona for its new anti-illegal-immigration law by boycotting our state.
The city and County Board of Supervisors passed a special resolution Tuesday that asks the county to avoid any government-funded travel to Arizona.
It also requests reviews of existing contracts and asks for refrains in implementing new ones that would buy good sor services from Arizona-based companies.
In addition, it calls for boycotts of major sporting events here, including next year's Major League Baseball All-State Game.
San Francisco Supervisor David Campos, one of those behind the protest, talked to 3TV's Tara Hitchcock about the special resolution.
