Cloudy and much cooler today, great-looking weekend ahead

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- The storm that's hovering over the state today should move out by Friday afternoon, leaving us with a gorgeously sunny weekend.

For today, however, sun is not the name of the game. Our high in the Valley today isn't expected to get past the high 60s. That's a full 20 degrees below average for this time of year.

We're seeing those cooler temperature all over the state and have even had some snow in the high country.

Here in the Valley, it'll likely stay cloudy most of the day with a 40 percent chance of rain throughout the day and into the night. It probably won't be a lot of rain, just enough to mess up your car wash and slick up the streets.

Our overnight low should drop to about 49 degrees.

Plan on a high of 73 degrees on Friday, and then back up to the 80s for the weekend and into next week.
