Peoria high school student killed in crash while traveling with familyPosted: Updated:
PEORIA – Family and friends are mourning the death of a popular high school athlete.
Keith Bowen, 17, a student at Peoria High School, was killed Monday in a rollover accident in northern Arizona.
He was the driver and was traveling with his family on Interstate 40 near Chambers, Arizona when they were involved in a crash. The family was returning from a family funeral in Window Rock.
Keith's mother and younger sister were hospitalized with injuries after the accident.
Keith attended his prom at Peoria High School just last weekend. He played football at his high school and was one of the top six sprinters in Arizona.
A Visitation is being held, Monday, April 26, 2010 at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Peoria High School Main Gym
A candlelight vigil is being held Tuesday, April 27, 2010, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Peoria High School Football Field.
A memorial fund has been set up in KJ's honor at Wells Fargo Bank.
