PHOENIX -- Police are searching for the suspects in an apparent home invasion that happened in North Phoenix early Thursday morning.

According to investigators, it was about 3:30 a.m. when at least one person kicked in the door of a home in the area of 43rd Avenue and Union Hills Drive.

Three people were inside at the time -- a 24-year-old pregnant woman, a man and a 14-year-old girl.

The pregnant woman reportedly heard some kind of argument followed by a gunshot.  She jumped out of a second-story window to escape. The man fled the scene and the teen hid inside the home.

Police said shots were fired inside the house. That gunfire reportedly spilled out on to the street.

Nobody was hurt, but the woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Police said quite a bit of drug paraphernalia was found in the house. Investigators told 3TV there were clear indications of illegal activity going on in the home.

While witnesses describe a silver Mustang fleeing the scene, no information about the suspect or suspects was immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing.
