PEORIA -- Peoria police officers are investigating a homicide after a body was found in the front yard of a home near 108th Avenue and Union Hills Drive Monday morning.

Mike Tellef, spokesman for the Peoria police and fire departments, said the body of a man in his 20s was found lying at the edge of the road in the front yard of a home on Sack Drive at approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Tellef said there was trauma to the body.

Police have identified the victim as Jonathan Dunlop, 27, of Peoria.

Police do not have a lot of information to go on right now, but Tellef said Dunlop might have been at a party in the neighborhood Sunday night.

There are no suspects or leads at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Peoria Police Tip Line at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
