3-Year-old girl dies after being pulled from pool in PhoenixPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – A 3-year-old girl was pulled from a pool in Phoenix on Friday evening.
The little girl died at the hospital over the weekend.
The girl was found by one of her brothers who apparently was one of several family members at the house for a cookout and the first police officers to arrive at the home started CPR.
Paramedics were working on helping her breathe even as they helped carry her out of the ambulance and into St. Joseph's Hospital at about 7 p.m.
The girl was reportedly pulled from a pool near 35th Avenue and Cactus. Paramedics say she had been in the pool for about ten minutes.
Kickboards and toys could be seen in the pool. The pool had a gate around it but it was reportedly propped open.
