TEMPE -- Police are searching for the suspect in the assault of a woman at a bus stop in Tempe Friday morning.
It happened in the area of Fifth Street and Priest. A bus driver saw what was happening, called police and then stopped to help.
It's not clear if the suspect was trying to sexually assault or kidnap the woman. According to police, the suspect was trying to drag the woman from the bus stop, but she fell. The suspect then jumped into his car and took off.
Police have not released any official information yet. The victim was hysterical when they first tried to talk to her. She was not able to provide investigators with many details.
According to unconfirmed reports, the suspect is described as a white man in his 40s with blondish-grayish hair. He might have been driving a gray Ford Taurus with the partial license plate number KB1.
