Man accused of tattooing girl in exchange for sex

AVONDALE -- Avondale police arrested a man Wednesday for allegedly tattooing two girls without their parents' permission and in one case doing so in exchange for sex.

Juan Lara Jr., 37, faces felony charges of sexual conduct with a minor and tattooing of a minor without the parent's permission. He is in custody at the Maricopa County Fourth Avenue Jail in Phoenix.

Police believe Lara has specifically targeted juvenile females and there may be more victims who have not come forward.

According to police spokesman Sgt. Todd Love, Lara has been known to use the nickname "Memo."
