School bus carrying over dozen students rear-ended in MesaPosted: Updated:
MESA – A school bus carrying over a dozen students was rear-ended on Wednesday afternoon in Mesa.
According to a spokesperson with the Mesa Fire Department, the collision took place at about 3 p.m. on southbound Greenfield near Brown.
The bus, from Legacy Charter School, was reportedly stopped to drop off students when a pick-up truck slammed into the bus from behind. A second pick-up truck was also involved in the crash.
All 17 students on board and the bus driver were evaluated by medical crews and nobody was injured.
The school did not have another bus to take the students home so the Mesa Public School District sent one to help take students home.
