Earthquake in Baja Mexico shakes up the ValleyPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck in Baja California just south of Mexicali, Mexico at 3:40 p.m. this afternoon. A number of strong aftershocks have been reported in the area since that time. The quake shook high-rise office buildings in San Diego and Los Angeles and could be felt as far north as Santa Barbara, California.
Residents across the Valley reported feeling the quake, many of whom contacted the 3TV newsroom. In the video above, Stacey Delikat shows how the quake affected several Valley residents.
