PHOENIX -- A criminal complaint has been filed in connection with the fatal  shooting that occurred in Avondale on March 19.

Maricopa County Attorney General's Office spokesman Mike Scerbo said that a complaint has been filed against Rueben Neal, 18, accusing him of killing 28-year-old Luis Valenzuela. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Valenzuela was shot and killed after midnight at 107th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Neal later surrendered to Phoenix Police, and a criminal complaint was filed against him on Wednesday, Scerbo said.

Neal has been accused of first degree murder, drive by shooting and two counts of aggravated assault.
