KINGMAN -- A Kingman woman was arrested after her three young children were wandering the streets while she was passed out at home.

The unsupervised children were reportedly wandering the streets shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday. They then walked up to a neighbor's house and asked for help.

The neighbor told Mohave County sheriff's deputies that the three sisters said they could not wake up their mommy. The neighbor advised that this is not the first time she has seen the kids running around the area, but she did not know which house they live in.

Deputies took custody of the girls, ages 4, 5 and 6. With the children's help, deputies located their home.

Deputies entered the residence and saw a woman, later identified as Angela Marie Smith, 26, lying on the couch unresponsive. Smith eventually woke up and told deputies that she is a hard sleeper.

Smith reportedly declined medical attention.

Deputies found a metal smoking pipe with a smell of marijuana located in Smith's bedroom and a glass pipe with burnt residue located inside her purse.

Child Protective Services responded and took custody of Smith's children.

Smith was arrested for child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
