Tucson based doctor group files health care reform lawsuit

A national group of doctors, headquartered here in Tucson, has filed a lawsuit over health care reform.

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons claims the recently passed bill is unconstitutional because it requires people to buy government approved health insurance by 2014. They believe that violates the 5th amendment.

"We are opposed to this health care reform. We believe it will end freedom for patients and physicians and will also bankrupt our national economy,"  Dr. Jane Orient believes the bill will prompt many doctors to retire early.

Congressional leaders and the white house have said they are confident the bill is constitutional and will hold up to legal challenges.
