Suspected meth supplier arrested; drugs, guns seized from Avondale home

TEMPE -- Tempe police narcotics detectives arrested a suspected methamphetamine supplier late last week.
Narcotics detectives arrested Marco Espinoza-Sanchez, 19, during a vehicle stop near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix. Espinoza-Sanchez reportedly was in possession of 1 pound of methamphetamine at the time.
Detectives had developed information that Espinoza-Sanchez was a source of supply for methamphetamine in Tempe and throughout the Phoenix area.
A search warrant was served at Espinoza-Sanchez's Avondale home and detectives seized 3 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $60,000. In addition, 1 ounce of cocaine, $12,500 in cash, six handguns, one rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were seized as evidence.
Espinoza-Sanchez was booked into Tempe City Jail and faces drugs and weapons charges.
