PHOENIX - For the first time a county supervisor arrested twice by Sheriff Joe Arpaio is lashing out and calling him "evil.”
Don Stapley is the chairman of the Maricopa Board of Supervisors. He has been arrested twice. While charges were file, they were later dismissed.
On Tuesday Stapley took after Sheriff Joe Arpaio and County Attorney Andrew Thomas. Stapley said during a meeting, "It will be over, when it's over and the "it" is the abuses, the misuse of funds, the illegal actions of our elected sheriff and our elected county attorney who, together, become even more evil."
Stapley has filed a $5 million claim against the county for wrongful arrest.
