PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Police Department has released a sketch of a man suspected of kidnapping and molesting a 4-year-old girl in February.

Investigators said the girl was kidnapped from an apartment complex near 44th Street just south of McDowell Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 27.

At the time, police thought the child was not hurt, but the investigation revealed that she had been molested.

Police detectives said the suspect forced the victim into a newer model dark gray four-door sedan and molested her before dropping her off near 44th and Oak streets.

Sgt. Darren Burch with Silent Witness said detectives obtained a suspect composite with the help of a witness to the crime.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build and blond or light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt with a design on the front and a dark baseball cap with a white front panel.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in solving this crime.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this case should contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
