Hernandez dominates D-backs to lead M's to 4-0 winPosted: Updated:
PEORIA -- Felix Hernandez tossed five scoreless innings, Franklin Guiterrez and Ryan Langerhans each hit their first home runs of the spring and the Seattle Mariners snapped a seven-game winless streak with a 4-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Corey Patterson added his second homer of the spring for Seattle, which had only six home runs in the first 16 games before hitting three on Saturday.
A day after losing starter Cliff Lee for at least a week and Doug Fister for a few days, Hernandez was dominant, allowing singles to Tony Abreu in the second and Stephen Drew to start the third.
Arizona's Dan Haren struck out seven over five innings and allowed just four hits, but the home runs cost him.
