PHOENIX (AP) -- Steve Nash had 13 points and 12 assists in his 1,000th NBA game and his favorite receiver Amare Stoudemire had a
dominant 36-point, 12-rebound performance in the Phoenix Suns' 120-106 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday night.

Nash became the 10th active player in the league to reach the 1,000-game milestone.

Stoudemire topped 30 points for the fourth time in five games while playing just 32 minutes. The exception was a 29-point effort against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

The Suns blew the game open after New Orleans had rallied to take a brief two-point lead early in the third quarter.

The Hornets have lost nine of 11. Marcus Thornton scored 28 points and David West scored 24 for New Orleans.

The Suns are 2-2 in a season-long seven-game home stand.
