Woman killed in Tucson fire identifiedPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities have identified the body of a woman who died in a mobile home fire on the northern edge of the Tucson Mountains.
Northwest Fire District officials say 55-year-old Betty Chrestman was trapped in the home when it caught fire Wednesday afternoon.
Northwest Fire, along with the Avra Valley Fire District, assisted the Picture Rocks Fire District in battling the blaze. But heavy flames along with a downed power line that fell on a chain link fence surrounding the house prevented rescuers from reaching the victim in time.
Fire investigators are working with the Pima County Sheriff's Department to determine the cause of the fire.
