Madison Pohle: a lacrosse leader at Chaparral HighPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- After getting bored with soccer, Madison Pohle watched a lacrosse game one afternoon while in seventh grade. From that day forward she has been hooked on lacrosse and is rarely seen without her lacrosse stick. Pohle not only started on Chaparral's varsity squad as a freshman but has also competed on a national level with the Southwest Heat and X-Team.
From the moment she stepped on the field, coach Jessica Livingston knew that Madison was something special. "She's very grounded and she's very modest, but when she steps onto the field she's fierce" says Livingston.
Pohle is only the second girl ever from Arizona to be recruited to play lacrosse for a Division I school. This fall she will be heading to George Washington University in Washington D.C. where she will join her former teammate, Caitlyn O'Brien, who was the first girl from Arizona to be recruited by a Division I school.
