Tee it up!

Posted: Updated:

The popular Waste Management Phoenix Open is a great way to watch the pros tame the links, but where do golf lovers who aren't named Phil like to tee it up? Let's check out the Reader's Choice Top 10 list from Golf Digest:

10) San Diego - Phil Mickelson's hometown is also home to some fabulous courses!

9) Ireland - my favorite country is home to some famous - and infamous- courses. Lahinch, a traditional links course along the west coast is reputed to be " a course so wicked, you'll throw your clubs in the sea!"

8) Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - this very popular resort area is home to very popular courses!

7) Monterey Peninsula, California - Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill - need I say more? 6) San Antonio, Texas - Great weather and great courses!

5) Orlando, Florida - Go see Mickey, play some rounds of championship golf!

4) Scottsdale/Phoenix - But of course!

3) Pinehurst, North Carolina - Home to one of the most challenging and popular courses to ever host major championships!

2) Hawaii - and each island has so many to choose from!

And the most popular golf destination, according to the readers of Golf Digest?

1) Charleston/Kiawah Island, South Carolina - Beautiful courses complimented by world-class resorts and that famous Southern charm!
