PHOENIX – A man who raped two girls and went on a crime spree while on parole has been sentenced.
Salvador Medina, 30, will spend 45 years in prison for the crimes he committed the day he got out of prison after spending four years behind bars for sexual abuse and dangerous crimes against children.
Medina forced his way into a car on August 6 of last year and kidnapped two 15-year-old girls and an 11-year-old girl before raping the two older girls.
Later the same day he robbed a woman by threatening to hurt her young child. Medina surrendered to Phoenix police.
Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas says, “I trust that a 45 year sentence will send a clear message that serious offenders get serious prison time when they commit crimes in Maricopa County.”
Medina entered a guilty plea on February 2 to charges of sexual assault, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
Medina will serve 45 years and will be on probation for the rest of his life.
