PHOENIX -- Two Phoenix police assistants ran to help a man who had fallen in front of a light rail earlier today.
Terrell Granberry and Matthew Brandt jumped onto the track and alerted the driver of the train as soon as they saw the man fall.
"This individual was so intoxicated that if we weren't there, there was no way he was getting up by himself," Granberry said.
The driver of the light rail pulled the emergency break and managed to stop the train before it reached the three men.
Aside from a some bumps and scratches, the falling man is allegedly fine.
