SCOTTSDALE -- A husband and wife were injured after they were hit while crossing a street in Scottsdale Thursday evening.
According to Scottsdale police Officer David Pubins, the Canadian residents were lawfully walking westbound in the crosswalk at Scottsdale Road at Rose Lane, which is north of McDonald Drive, at approximately 6 p.m.
Pubins said a Lincoln Navigator turning left onto northbound Scottsdale Road struck the couple.
The 41-year-old man suffered a hand injury while his 39-year-old wife suffered a life-threatening head injury.
Both victims were transported to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn for treatment.
Pubins said alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
