Reward for man with tattoo who raped, held woman hostage

PHOENIX -- A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect who sexually assaulted a 55-year-old woman home alone.

At midnight on Jan. 14, the woman was watching television at her home near 32nd Street and Earll Drive when a suspect came in through an unlocked rear sliding glass door.

The unknown male grabbed the victim in a chokehold, forced her into a bedroom at knifepoint and sexually assaulted her. Police said the suspect remained in the home for approximately four hours.

The victim told police that the suspect smelled as if he had been drinking alcohol.

The suspect is described as a Native American or Hispanic male, 35 to 45 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall with an average build. He has a tattoo of a single vertical feather over his right chest area. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and a white tank top under a gray sweater.
