MESA – A pit bull was found stabbed to death following a domestic dispute in Mesa.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Community Relations Spokesperson Lindsey Smith tells 3TV deputies responded to the 300 block of North 93rd Street in Mesa in reference to a domestic dispute between a man and a woman on Saturday.
When deputies arrived on scene they found a pit bull dead with stab wounds. Detectives believe the man involved in the fight stabbed the dog. MCSO says there was evidence of a possible struggle between the pit bull and the man.
Both the man and the woman involved in this incident are reportedly not from Arizona and have left the state. Sheriff’s deputies are continuing to investigate this incident as a burglary and a possible case of animal cruelty.
