PHOENIX - A man sitting in traffic was shot and killed early Saturday morning in north Phoenix.

Police say the 29-year-old victim was sitting in his Chevy Impala just before 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Dunlap and 43rd Avenue. Witnesses say the shooter then walked up to the driver's side door and fired multiple gunshots.

The suspect, described only as a black man in a baseball cap, got into a four-door vehicle and fled the scene.

The victim was facing south and was alone in the vehicle at the time of the fatal shooting. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident can call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or contact Phoenix police.
