GILBERT -- A medical helicopter was called out to a wreck that closed the intersection of Warner and Lindsay roads in Gilbert for a time early Friday morning.
While it's not yet clear what caused the wreck, three vehicles were involved, police said. Aerial video showed rescuers cutting somebody from a badly damaged vehicle. That patient was air-lifted to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn. Police on the scene said the person suffered a head injury, but it reportedly is not life-threatening.
Two other people were also hurt in the wreck, but the exact nature of their injuries was not immediately available. One of those people was taken by ground ambulance to Chandler Regional Hospital. The other was not transported.
Tow trucks removed two of the wrecked vehicles from the scene just after 7 a.m.
While the intersection was restricted for nearly an hour, it was back open to traffic by about 7:30 a.m.
