Prescott Valley mother of three arrested for selling meth from a motel roomPosted: Updated:
PRESCOTT VALLEY - Yavapai County Sheriff's Office arrested a mother for allegedly selling methamphetamine from a motel room in Prescott Valley.
On February 19 detectives arrested Jessica Dennis, 23, for possession and sales.
Over the past several weeks, detectives received information from public sources of methamphetamine sales in the tri-city area. YCSO detectives discovered Dennis was selling meth from a hotel room at the America's Best Value Inn off Highway 69.
YCSO detectives arranged a couple of controlled purchases from Dennis during their investigation, both testing positive for methamphetamine.
Detectives arrested Dennis during a traffic stop in which detectives found 44 grams of meth in a driver's door compartment along with several hundred dollars on her person and the cell phone she used to arrange previous drug buys.
Dennis faces charges involving the possession of dangerous drugs for sale, transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, use of electronic communication in drug related transaction and possession of dangerous drugs.
A passenger in the car with Dennis, Randall Port, 26, was arrested for two counts of felony drug paraphernalia possession.
Both remain in custody in the Camp Verde Detention Center.
Dennis is the mother of three children, two of them, 6 months and 3-years-old, were in her custodial care at the time of the arrest. The children were located at a baby-sitter's home and put into the care of Children's Protective services.
