Blasting south of Hoover Dam to slow traffic ThursPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona Department of Transportation crews will be blasting on U.S. 93 south of Hoover Dam Thursday.
ADOT recommends allowing extra travel time or using an alternate route due to highway widening work.
Blasting and cleanup for a project creating a safer four-lane divided highway is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday approximately three miles south of Hoover Dam. Drivers should expect delays of up to an hour.
Drivers are urged to pay attention to reduced speed limits, no passing zones, flagging stations and interim traffic stops for construction vehicles crossing the highway.
