PHOENIX – An argument led to a shooting and then a police pursuit of the suspects in Phoenix.

Police tell 3TV two men got into an argument at a bar called La Bamba located on 13th Street and Broadway on Tuesday afternoon, which led to a fight with another individual and one person was shot in the stomach.

The suspects, described as two Hispanic males, fled the scene and police began a search for the suspects’ vehicle.

Police noticed a vehicle matching the suspects' car description heading northbound on 16th Street and officers tried to conduct a traffic stop after discovering it was a stolen vehicle.

Police initiated a pursuit on the car until the driver of the suspects' car crashed into another car in the intersection of 16th Street and Jefferson Street.

The suspect tried to flee after the crash and officers began a foot pursuit. They caught up with the suspects in the area of 16th Street and Madison.

A second victim who was not shot was called so that he could identify the shooter or possible shooters among the suspects. The victim told officers the suspects were not involved in the shooting. Police believe they were eluding officers because of the alleged stolen vehicle.
