Bullhead City man convicted in child porn case

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) -- A 50-year-old Bullhead City man could spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of possessing child pornography on his cell phone.

Johann Hartman was convicted of 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor by a Mohave County jury late last week. He faces from 10 to 24 years in prison for each count when he's sentenced next month. If served consecutively, that's a minimum of 110 years in prison.

Hartman's phone was found by a man in November 2007. The man turned it in to police, who found the child porn images and tracked Hartman down. Detectives reportedly found more images of child pornography on his home computer.

Hartman's attorney argued that her client had lost the cell phone and someone else had downloaded the photos onto the phone.
