Police arrest prominent members of drug distribution operationPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Several important members of a methamphetamine distribution operation were captured by task force officers on Thursday.
According to a Maricopa County Sheriff's Office press release, officers made a total of five arrests in the 1800 block of 37th Drive and the 2700 block of 88th Drive in Phoenix.
The suspects were allegedly involved in the large-scale production and distribution of methamphetamine.
The MCSO press release indicates the task force, which has been working in conjunction with the Chandler Police Department, has been on the case for over a year now.
The case allegedly spreads across several states in the Southwestern United States and involves nearly 100 people. Two other suspects still remain at large.
