Hot air balloon crashes near Interstate 8; 4 OKPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) --The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a hot air balloon crash landed in a desert area just north of Interstate 8, 60 miles northeast of Yuma Wednesday. DPS spokesman Officer Robert Bailey said that three passengers and a pilot were aboard the balloon. Bailey said the four were not injured.
Bailey said three passengers were able to hike out and the pilot remained with the balloon.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
Earlier reports had the balloon landing on Interstate 8.
