2 Killed in accident south of TucsonPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Two people are dead after a collision Wednesday night along Interstate 19 south of Tucson.
Department of Public Safety officers say a southbound 1998 Chevy Suburban was allegedly rear ended by a 2010 Ford Explorer.
DPS said the collision pushed the Suburban into the median. It rolled over and ejected a husband and wife who both died at the scene.
The victims are identified as 61-year-old Francisco Ayala-Rodriguez and 59-year-old Ana F. Ayala-Rodriguez, both of Tucson,
The driver of the Explorer, identified as 84-year-old William Crawford of Tucson, was taken to local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
