SCOTTSDALE - A popular Valley chef and Food Network star has been arrested.

Scottsdale police say Elements Executive Chef Beau Macmillan was arrested on Sunday after failing to stop correctly at a red traffic light.

Macmillan also reportedly had an outstanding warrant for his arrest after failing to appear in court for driving on a suspended license.

Macmillan has made numerous appearances on 3TV. He also co-hosted Food Network's "Worst Cooks in America."

The celebrity chef was booked into jail but has since been released.

The following statement was issued on February 10, 2010 from Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain regarding Chef Beau Macmillan:

On February 7, during a routine traffic stop in Scottsdale, Beau MacMillan, Executive Chef of Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, was detained in conjunction with a court date he inadvertently missed earlier this month for a speeding ticket.

The court summons hadn't reached MacMillan due to his move to a new address.  The misunderstanding has been addressed, and he has been given a new court date of March 18.

In the meantime, he remains hard at work overseeing his brand new, multi-million dollar kitchen at Sanctuary.  As excited as he is about his new kitchen, he promises to obey speed limits getting there from here on out.
