Man accused of molesting Peoria boy arrested in Mexico
Douglas Dishon was extradited back to Arizona By Jennifer Thomas
PEORIA -- A man accused of molesting a Peoria boy six years ago has been arrested in Mexico after authorities there say it appears he murdered his wife.
Mexican authorities questioned and arrested Douglas Dishon, 59, for the murder of his wife, Vicky. They say it appears Dishon murdered Vicky then buried her under their home. The cause of death is unknown.
The couple fled to Mexico in 2005 after Dishon posted $300,000 cash against a $10 million bond for sexual conduct with a minor charges that he faced in Yavapai County.
Peoria police spokesman Jay Davies said Dishon was also facing similar charges in an unrelated case in Peoria. He is accused of molesting an 8-year-old boy in 2004.
The couple had been living in Mexico under the aliases Cable Ben and Sonnie Waller.
When Mexican authorities learned Dishon had felony warrants in the U.S., they turned him over to the U.S. Marshall's office. Peoria detectives extradited and escorted Dishon back to Arizona.
In addition to the sexual conduct charges, Davies said Peoria and Yavapai County will work with the state to pursue homicide charges in the death of Dishon's wife.
Dishon is being held without bound in the Fourth Avenue Jail.
