Delays at Sky Harbor due to second snow storm in east coast

PHOENIX – A second snow storm is set to hit the northeast Tuesday night.

That one-two punch is affecting travelers at Sky Harbor Airport. More than a dozen flights were canceled Tuesday morning and more were tacked on throughout the day. Flights to Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit and others were canceled due to weather.

Some passengers stranded at Sky Harbor Airport chose to look on the bright side. One tells 3TV, “We're trying to get to Philadelphia…and it's been cancelled. I'm not that upset. Quite frankly I'd rather be here and be safe than be on my way to Philly and have to go to another airport."

You are encouraged to check your flight status before you head to the airport.
