Young sexters could face misdemeanor chargesPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Sexting -- sending somebody naughty photos of yourself via text message -- is a growing trend among young people that has parents concerned.
A bill approved by a state Senate committee yesterday would make it a misdemeanor for minors to send sexually explicit photos or videos of themselves or others. It would also make it a crime for young people to keep such photos if they receive them.
Attorney Dan Barr talks about the move to criminalize sexting among minors.
