About Sherry Kline
Although I was born in Maryland, my family and I have lived on the West Coast since I was 18 months old. We moved to Arizona in 1960 so I feel that qualifies me being a 'Native Arizonan' ! I grew up in Scottsdale graduating from Saguaro High School (Sherry Rowe, '70) and attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff for one year where I met my husband, Dan. We were married that same year and after Dan had several years of post-graduate school and dental school at the University of Southern California, we finally settled in Chandler. We had two of our three sons (Nathan, 33 and Adam, 32) while Dan was attending dental school guaranteeing our 'Starving Student' status! We planned the opening of Dan's office to coincide with the birth of our third son (Erik, 30) but he was born three weeks after his due date! Dan was a bit put out since I was supposed to be his receptionist! I ended up bringing Erik in the office for his first three months and we still have patients who remember seeing him behind me in his porta-crib.
Raising three strong-willed, active, and very bright sons was, to say the least, interesting, challenging and extremely fulfilling. Our family is very sports-minded so having them involved in soccer, football, baseball, swimming, and basketball helped keep things to a low roar-most of the time! Details of their raising are a little hazy (especially through the 80's-that's all a blur!) but we must have done okay since they are all educated, employed and, better still, talking to us! During the teenage years there were a lot of tears but I like to think it was balanced with even more laughter. When looking back there will always be those times we cringe over but even those memories make us laugh. Thankfully!
Since the guys have moved out we have experienced the transition of raising children to having an adult relationship with our grown sons. Dan and I have had a good time getting to know each other again. We have moved to Dan's beloved desert in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains outside of Apache Junction and are enjoying the critters and fresh air. Our son, Adam, is married to a wonderful woman, Nanabah, and they have blessed us with three, beautiful granddaughters, Ava (8), Lana (7) and Grace (5). Now, after years of testosterone filling every crevice of our home, we finally have ourselves some estrogen! There is a God! After years of raising children and working off and on in Dan's office I find myself at home for the first time by myself. To prevent my stalking Adam and his gorgeous women, I have had to find other outlets to occupy my time. Being Dan's wife, the guys' Ma and the Lovely Ladies' Nana has been an honor but now I find myself needing to discover whom 'Sherry' is! I'm not done yet but am enjoying the exploration. I began an interest in herbs and their healing factors and aromatherapy, and have been developing 'lotions and potions' for all my friends and family.  I'm a voracious reader of all kinds of genre and as the years go by I am reminded time and time again of a saying my late-mom always said: 'The more I learn, the less I know'.
Applying for the Mom Squad a few years ago was a crazy, caffeine moment (gotta love those 4-shot lattes!) that, in return, has given me so much enjoyment. Never in my life did I imagine I would be on television! The people at 'Your Life A to Z' are the best ever and have done everything they can to make me feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. I love sharing things that bring joy to my life and being able to do so on the show has been incredible and I can only hope that there's someone else enjoying my stuff as much as I do!
